- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
I am a marketing professional with over 15 years of experience in marketing account management, public relations, event planning, social media, and branding. When I started as an Intern at KB Consultants in 2006, I was completing my Master’s Degree in Journalism at Temple University. I told myself, marketing was just a temporary “gig." A brief detour on my way to a byline.
Well, that "gig" evolved into a promotion and then a new role as an account executive. By the time I graduated I was a senior account executive managing accounts in real estate, hospitality, and luxury brands such as Tiffany & Co, and pitching my clients to my professors after class. I've never regretted not getting that byline.
In 2021, after working in real estate marketing for several years, I became a licensed real estate sales agent in Pennsylvania. In 2022, I launched AK Consulting, accomplishing another dream of owning my own company and continuing my marketing work with a focus on real estate & hospitality brands. During this time, I was also a first-time homebuyer, who (eventually) turned into a first-time homeowner. With each of these new and exciting, sometimes terrifying, career and personal adventures, I reminded myself of what that quote above says about courage.
Today, I reside in Bella Vista with my rescue pup “Pretzel.” I volunteer with organizations such as: PAWS, PSPCA, PHS and my neighborhood association. On the weekends, if I'm not at an open house, you can usually find Pretzel and I shopping on 9th St. in the Italian Market. Or I’m working on some kind of DIY project around my house.
